vidgen studio makes short-format video ads. This page says exactly what it stores, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it. It describes what the software actually does, not what it might do one day.
What is stored
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your Google email address and name | To sign you in and keep your work separate from anyone else's. |
| The websites you ask it to read, and the images and text on them | They are the raw material for the ads. |
| Photographs you upload | Used as source frames for the video. |
| Your conversations, storyboards and finished videos | So the work is there when you come back. |
| A Pinterest access token, only if you connect an account | To read your boards and pins. See below. |
Each signed-in account gets its own private workspace. The folder is named after a one-way hash of your email rather than the address itself, so the address does not end up in file paths or server logs.
Connecting Pinterest is optional and nothing is blocked without it. If you
do connect it, the app asks for three read-only permissions:
user_accounts:read, boards:read and
pins:read.
- It reads your account name, your boards, and your recent pins — their titles, descriptions, links and images.
- It uses them to understand what your audience already saves, so the ads it drafts match what works on your account.
- It never posts, edits, deletes or follows anything. No write permissions are requested, so none are held.
- Your Pinterest password is never seen by this app. Pinterest handles the sign-in and returns a token.
Disconnect at any time from the Brand panel, which deletes the stored token. You can also revoke access from your Pinterest account settings.
Who else sees your content
To make an ad, content is sent to two services. Both are processors acting on your instruction:
- Anthropic — your conversation, page text and images, to write and judge the ad. Their privacy policy.
- Kling AI (Kuaishou) — the prompts and source images for each shot, and the finished silent video when you add sound. When sound is added, the finished video is briefly reachable at an unguessable link so Kling can fetch it; that link expires after fifteen minutes.
Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone else.
Where it is kept
On Google Cloud in Europe (europe-west1), in private storage. Nothing is publicly readable.
How long
Your work is kept until you delete it or ask for the account to be removed. Sign-in sessions expire on their own.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of everything held about you, or for all of it to be deleted. Both are honoured.
- Disconnect Pinterest without losing anything else.
- Stop using the app, and ask for the workspace to be deleted.
